Hello. Thanks for asking from HCM.

I can understand your concern. The headache could be due to injury to nose or direct injury to head.

Nose injury can cause swelling in nose which can cause blockade in sinus openings in nose. This blockade with radiation of pain can cause headache in forehead region, heaviness, increase in pain on bending forward, relief after taking steam. This headache subsides after subsidence of nasal swelling.

Another cause could be due to direct injury to head. It will occur at the injury site, swelling might be present, on pressing injury site pain increases, relief after applying icepacks at injury site.

For more relief in both conditions, you can give him painkiller like Diclofenac sodium after proper prescription. If still no relief, you should consult doctor. Also observe alarming signs like
: vomiting
: loss of consciousness
: decreasing consciousness
: repeated bleeding from nose
In case of any of above signs, you must consult ER.

Hope it might help you. Thanks. Take care.
