What Causes Hard And Sticky Threads Under Eyelids?

Hello. I am 21 years old and I've had allergies since I was a kid. Firts it was a rash but a couple of years ago it spread to my eyes. I have the classic eye allergy symptoms yet when my allergy is not that bad I can pick these "threads" out of my eyes. Just like when you have an eye infection. The doctors have called it allergic eye infection but they can't help me. When my allergy is bad the "threads" are hard and dry and stick under my eyelid so it hurts so much that I can't open my eyes. What is it?

thread like things are from eye discharge, mainly bacterial infection. for allergy you should try to locate the allergen inciting the allergy. it can be food or drink, cosmetic, pet kept in house, pollen or dust in air. if you cant isolate then gofer allergy test. start taking livocetrizine 5mg daily and cromal eye drop can be applied 3times daily. for thread like sticky thing, can apply ofloxacin.3%eye drop 3times and neosporine eye oint ment can be applied at bed time.
