Hello...i just had arthroscopy surgery done last week on my left knee to scope...i have recently notice a large golfball size lump(above the knee on the left) that is very stiff and sore and is more noticable when i bend it...is this a concern?...im thinking it may be a build of fluid?
Hi. The lump after Arthroscopy is usually due to either synovial reaction. Fluid built up may not appear like a golf ball appearance. You can confirm by an ultrasonography and can go for an aspiration or FNAC. Take a course of an antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medicines and take rest or apply crepe bandage. You can certainly contact the Orthopedic Surgeon who performed Arthroscopy.
