What Causes Gooey Stuff In The Eyes?

My son is having problems opening his eyes in the morning like there are some gooey stuff coming out from his eyes. It's been like this for days now. We try to clean his eyes every morning but it is the same. Is it due to the facial cleanser that he might have splashed on his face days before?

Hello

It seems from the history that your son is having problem of discharge from the eyes with stickiness of eyelids in the morning.
This is not because of facial cleanser.
This is usually because of chronic infections like conjunctivitis or because of chronic allergies or chronic dacryocystitis.
The treatment is by use of antibiotics or anti allergic drugs depending on the cause.
Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
