What Causes Giddiness, Sweating, Low BP And High Pulse Rate?

my father is 84years and he in on tazloc 60 mg (telmisartan) nocte.. within 10days he experience giddiness, sweating and recorded low BP/ high pulse rate in 2 occasions. once he had almost a blackout. when I enquired he has taken only 40mg. no chest pain/ N/V. whatcould be the reason??

Hello,
His dose may be too high. Whenever we prescribe blood pressure medication like the tazloc it is possible that the blood pressure will go too low. If that happens then the pulse normally increases to assure adequate blood flow to the body. Please discuss this with his doctor who will probably need to decrease his dose of Tazloc
