What Causes Frequent Eye Infections Post A Cataract Surgery?

My dad is diabetic he had cataract operation but after that he got infection in his eye then he had treatment of that infection with injections in his eye its the same eye that injection treatment last for whole year every month he need injection to finish water behind his eye then after a year his eye swell so bad and filled with infection and water now he had another operation docters took out all infection out his eye is very sore and healing proress is really slow my question is will he get his eye sight back

postoperative proper asceptive measure not taken. can get checked by surgeon who has operated for cataract. for examination and postoperative advise
