What Causes Frequent Attacks Of Migraine?

Hi, I am getting the migraine attack. ABout 3 years back, I visited a neurosurgeon and MRI of my brain was done. No abnormalities have been found. She prescribed Betacap 40 mg for 1 month, Sibelium 10 mg for 1 month and NAPRA-S for S.O.S. Again I am having the attack. Can I repeat the medicines?

Hello dear,
I understand your concern. You are apparently having a definite diagnosis of Migraine.Your medication is typical of what is prescribed for migraine as you are taking propranolol (preventive), flunarizine (preventive) and naproxen(at the time of pain or sos). So,your medicines cover your preventive aspect well(but still there is a large scope to increase the dose,if you are having frequent headache episodes) but your abortive(to abort the acute episode) aspect is not covered well. Triptans are good drugs to terminate the acute episodes. You can very well repeat the medicines. But,please discuss your physician regarding modifying the abortive drugs(just naproxen will not help as it is not a potent anti-migraine medicine and Triptans may be considered). If it helps you, please write a review at my profile link-
