What Causes Flashes Of Light In The Field Of Vision?

Dear Sir, 10 days ago I had a fight with someone. Person hit me on my forehead & right eye with his hand. Hit was of mild in nature. There was no sign of discomfort. I was able to play, drive, read etc without any probalem. After 7 days of incident, suddenly falshes start appearing on right side of eye. I visited two opthomologist who diagnose my eye and state that my eyes are ok, retina every thing is ok. My vision is 6/6. Apart from this no discomfort. One doctor advise me for some eyedrops for retina. Advise me that this will disappear automatically. Flashes are still continuing, but now they are appearing very close to right eye, earlier they were at some distance. This is really irritating. Kinldy advise me & reasons for these. Is it serious?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Please go to retina specialization ASAP like go now. You could be experiencing a retinal tear and subsequent detachment and once it involves the center portion of the retina i.e, the macula, the prognosis is bad . If the tear is still containable the doctor might just do a laser to barrage that tear.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
