What Causes Eye Pupils To Be Smaller?

My Aunt who is 83 yrs old and still active recently we notice her eye pupils where very small....and being that they normally would have a larger size to both of the eyes....where wondering what might be some of the reasons why......no pain....however had recently injured under one eye from a kitchen door...

The size would be about a size bigger than this >> O ......about 50% diameter>>>larger....Thank You

It might be due to injury to cornea. Due to injury might be having photo phobia. Pupilary constriction is to restrict entry of light. However get her eye examined by eye doctor for opinion.
