What Causes Eye Irritation After Cataract Surgery?

I had subcapsular cataract surgery almost 3 weeks ago. i have been back twice. my surgeon says no infection and look ok, but i have the feeling something is in my eye.. irritation, burning, watering, light sensitive, and especially late in the afternoons.. i am using drops as he said and even extra lubricating drops.. now i have pain in any movement .. should i call him back again ? I am to the point of taking pain medications for the pain and irritation..

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hello
Welcome to health care magic.

I reviewed your history.
It seems from the history that you are having irritation and pain following cataract surgery.
These symptoms indicate inflammation induced by surgery.
This requires use of steroids and antiinflammatory drugs.
You need to consult your ophthalmologist to assess the severity of inflammation and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
