What Causes Eye Floaters In The Left Eye?

I am having strange flashes of light when I move my left eye directly left or right. The flashes are circular and consistent. Every time I move my eye to the far right or far left the light flashes for a fraction of a second. It is not a burst blood vessel as I have had that before and this is not the same. What is this?

it is degenerative problem of retina. there can be hole tear or peripheral detachment. fundus examination preferably indirect ophthalmoscope for wider field. visual acuity be recorded. findings in retina should be reviewed after 6 months to watch the progress.consult retinasurgeon for confirmation of diagnosis and advise on treatment.
