What Causes Excessive Sleepiness And Fatigue While On Quetiapine?

hi my mom who has dementia was given quetiapine to help with her sleep she was sundowning staying up all night 25 mg tablet but only given half a pill nightly,she is also on memantine for memory 10 mg once a day and an anti- depressant venataxine once a day 150 mg but for the last 3 days she just sleeps at night but also most of the day.she is not feeling sick just unusually tired.i have been taking care of her for awhile now I am he son and now she sleeps almost to much when the reason she took them was to help her sleep.her doctor knows what she takes but the sleeping is unusual.are these drugs together making that happen thank you

It's due to harmful interaction between two medications.
Taking Quetiapine together with Desvenlafaxine may cause severe drowsiness resulting in excessive sleeping, difficulty concentrating, and impaired thinking. You should consult her doctor to prescribe an alternate effective drug or to adjust the dose of each medications to reduce the risk of harmful interaction.
