What Causes Excessive Blinking While Reading Or Watching Tv?

Hello, I have noticed for the past 6 weeks that my wife s eyes are continuously blinking while reading and watching tv. I don t notice this when she s involved in any other activities. She s nearsighted, has a stigmatism in one eye. She wears her prescription glasses sometimes but not while reading or viewing tv. Would you have any advice that you could give me. Thank you very much, Worried husband

Hello
Welcome to Health care Magic.

I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that your wife is having increased blinking during watching TV or reading. This can be because of the refractive error itself and she needs to wear the glasses regularly to prevent this. Use of artificial tears along with the spectacles will provide symptomatic relief.

Hope this is helpful to you.
Do write back to me for further questions.
Thank you
With regards
