What Causes Dry Eyes And Brittle Finger Nails?

I’m having some very strange things happening with my eyes and fingernails, which seem unrelated, but I’m not sure. I have severe dry eye and scratched corneas. Now, my eyelashes on my left eye are long and straight and even. On my right side, they’ve suddenly become very short, and extremely curly and choppy (some areas are next to nothing). My fingernails are splitting at the bottom and peeling off the nail bed from those areas. What areas remain are very bumpy and have big indentations and areas that look like they’ve been squashed. These things started happening around the same time. I read something about thyroid issues causing eyebrow hair to come out one eye...could that be it? Or....???

For dry eye artificiality tear drop like refresh, eye teardrop is to apply edit is not related to fingernail but chances of inflicting corneal injury are possible. So take care and try to avoid injury. Nails should be cut properly.
