You most likely have a concussion, which is a mild traumatic brain injury from a direct or indirect blow to the head. Most people will have immediate confusion and disorientation, impaired balance, slowed reaction times, and impaired verbal and memory. The most common issues after concussions are headaches, inability to focus, fatigue and drowsiness, dizziness, visual problems, emotional disturbance, and sleep disturbance. Therefore, all your symptoms are normal. Since you lost consciousness, you should have a CT or MRI scan of your head. In addition, you have begin to vomit persistently or have worsening of your symptoms, you should also have a CT/MRI scan. There is no specific treatment. You can use sunglasses and ear plugs to help you with light and noises. You should consider no texting, video games, school, work, play, exercise, or sexual activity until symptoms begin to improve.
