What Causes Dizziness And Body Imbalance?

I am 78 yers of age and had knee replacement 3 months ago. I had A flutter after surgery and took amiodarone for a while and Xralto for a while then my cardiologist did an ablation. he took me off the amiodarone after ablation then took me off Xralto later. Wore heart monitor for two weeks and no more signs of A flutter. My problem is I still seem to be dizzy or unbalanced when standing or walking. He did a blood test and said B-12 was very low. I have now taken 4 weekly injections but still feel that way although I am better than at first. Just wondering if the anesthesia used during surgery has effected me someway.

Hello,

As per your clinical history is concerned, please follow like this:

1) Do a clinical examination by your Doctor and to rule out cardiac causes do an [ECG] and if it is normal then follow as below.

2) Discuss with your Doctor about [iron injection] along with [vitamin B12] injections.

Do follow lifestyle modifications like this:

1) Take iron-rich foods include meats, beans, lentils, iron-fortified cereals, dark green leafy vegetables, and dried fruit.

2) Take folic acid, which can be found in citrus fruits and juices, bananas, dark green leafy vegetables, legumes, and fortified bread, cereals, and pasta.

3) Do take [Vitamin B-12] and this vitamin is found naturally in meat and dairy products. It is also added to some cereals and soy products, such as soy milk.

4) Take foods containing vitamin C such as citrus fruits, melons, and berries that help increase iron absorption.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
