Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hi.

I had gone through your query.

Sudden wake up with features of anxiety and disorientation may suggest night terror which can occur in NREM phase of sleep cycle.

It can be part of anxiety disorder like panic attack.Need to consult ENT surgeon also to rule out nocturnal laryngospasm.

So there are multiple possibility and need to consult for proper diagnosis.
Consult psychiatrist for psychological evaluation and treatment.

Anti anxiety medicines like lorazepam and clonazepam help to reduce such attack.

Consult and get help.

Glad to help you further.
Thank you.
