What Causes Difficulty Urinating After A TURP Procedure?
A TURP procedure was done 18 days ago. I still cannot pass urine properly apart from a very weak stream and it is extremely painful. I urinate approximately every 30 minutes. This has been going on for nearly 2 weeks. I have been taking antibiotics since the procedure was done but there seem to be no improvement. I have no bleeding and clear urine. Before the procedure I had been using Foley catheters for 4 months.
Hi may be you had chronic retention of urine before TURP. you should get done urine culture and ultrasound PVR. If post void urine is high meet your urologist. he may prescribe bladder stregnthening medicine or recommend urodyanamic test. Thanks Dr akd
