Hello and thank you for asking HCM.

In my clinic i work with a lot of patients with symptoms like this.

The urge to urinate is usually correlated with an urinal tract infection.
There are also other symptoms like blood in urine, pain in lower abdominal part, urinate frequently ect.Depending on the kind of infection and the response of the immune system he might have 1 or all the symptoms. I suggest to do an urinary test to confirm the diagnose. He can use even tests tjat can be done at home, dipstick test kit that he can get without tje nees of a prescription. If diagnosis is confirmed he needs antibiotics.

I will give some advice to help the urinary tract to heal itself:
-have plenty of liquids
-chamomile te 1or 2 cups each day would be great
-urinate just after having sex
-to not hold the urine
-to try to empty dhe bladder when he urinates.

He can use ibuprofen for the pain/burning sensation while urinating.

If you have other questions, feel free to contact me.
