What Causes Chronic Vomiting And Abdominal Pain?

My 87 year old husband started vomiting last night about one hour after dinner and has continued through the night. He has not had diarrhea but has severe muscle pain in the abdominal area. He says the pain is not as bad as last night but still there. He and I ate the same thing for dinner except he had a tomato that was a few days old and a pepperocini. He is a type 2 diabetic on Trulicity and has stage 3 kidney problems. He’s had nothing to eat or drink since dinner. He has been taking Tums to coat his stomach lining. He won’t drink tea.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice

Sudden onset of vomiting particularly after the meal is indication of colic of intestine, renal colic biliary and acid peptic disease. For the time being symptomatic medicine for vomiting can be tried either injectable orally and Ondansetron is the best drug for vomiting but underlying cause of it needs to be ruled out.

Hope I have answered your query.
