What Causes Burning Sensation During Urination After An Unprotected Oral Sex?

Hello, I had unprotected oral sex. 2 days after I had a burning feeling when I pee. I went and got tested, urine and blood, and all came back negative. Doctor said it looks like urethritis. Gave me cipro to take for 7 days. The 7 days just finished and I still feel burning. Is it normal, could it be something else?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

As you have taken treatment for 7 days but still you are feeling burning sensation, so I will advise you to do Routine Urine Examination, urine culture sensitivity test, complete haemogram.

As per your history my probable diagnosis is urinary tract infection or cystitis. So, along with these antibiotics, you can take syrup neeri, tablet Dolo and keep yourself well hydrated.

I will suggest you to review here with detailed history or consult with the urologist with the reports. Maintain proper hygiene of private parts.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale
