What Causes Burning Sensation And Red Residue While Urinating?

I was urinating first thing yesterday morning and at the end of it, I had a burning sensation with the last few drops. Later in the day, the burning sensation had subsided somewhat but again the last few drops were accompanied with a burning sensation and showed a red residue (it wasn't blood, more like a sand). Today there is no burning at all and only noticed the red residue once out of the four times I've urinated so far. Serious matter?

hi there thanks for asking this on HCM, your complaints suggest that there may be stone formation in your bladder . you may be consuming less water which will cause reduced urine output and burning sensation due to the acidic nature of the concentrated urine. it can also be a urinary tract infection which will produce a burning sensation but there wont be any residue in such case.the residue will probably due to broken fragment of stones formed in the bladder. drink lots of water consult with a urologist to asses the nature of the stone.
