What Causes Brown Urination After Removal Of A Bladder Polyp?

My husband had a polyp removed from his bladder on Wednesday. He is in no pain and has been urinating regularly, but today (Friday) there was some discoloration in his urine - not bright red blood, but definitely brown. We re waiting until he goes again to monitor it, but should we head to ER?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
I think it is just blood coagulated that comes due to the procedure of the removal of polyp. I think there is nothing to worry but just keep him under observation. If it continues and increased in amount and in red colour go to surgeon.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
