What Causes Breathing Difficulty And Tightness In The Chest?

I ve been dealing with asthma, but lately I feel like i m always trying to catch my breath and my chest is extremely tight or feels like someone is sitting on it, also my head is starting to feel a little tight. Have been given steroid shots twice in the last 60 days for bronchitis or asthma?

Hi,

There can be several reasons for tightness in the chest. As you are suffering from asthma and bronchitis these can itself cause it.

Strain from breathing in these diseases can also cause it. Anxiety and heart problem can also cause it.

There are multiple possibilities for this as I mentioned. You need to consult a physician as soon as possible to address it properly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
