What Causes Bloody Urination?

Hi, I have a quick question. My name is Zee, my step father got into a fist fight a few days ago and my mother stepped in to help. She wasn’t hit at any point but there was obviously a lot of adrenaline going through her. When we got to the hospital for my stepdad’s hand(he broke it), my mother and I went to the restroom and when she tried to pee a gush of blood came out. There was no bleeding after that, just that one gush. Should we be worried or is this normal? She’s too scared to see a doctor.
