my daughter has been peeing alot about 3 to 4 times a hr. We took her into the Dr for UTI testing and it was negative but came back with +1 blood in her urin. They want another sample and if it still comes back with blood in her urin they want to send her to a kidney specialist. Should I be worried?

Hello,

Urinary Tract Infection is one of the causes of blood in urine. Sometimes poor hydration may also cause blood-stained urine.

If any pain associated with the above symptom may suggest kidney stone too. Kindly do ultrasound abdomen and urine routine to rule out the cause.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Senthilnathan Subramanian
