Hi,I am Dr. Andrew Rynne (Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My mom is 90 yes old. She was bleeding when urinating. She has diabetes, gout, arthritis, swelling feet and ankles heart problems and kidney decrease. I started giving her vitamins. Since then the bleeding has stopped for more than three weeks. I have changed her diet more fresh fruits, veggies and less meat. Which herbs should I use to help these problems to keep her stronger with less pain. She takes tons of meds each one has their own side effects. I believe that she is toxic from the meds. Some of them keeps her constipated. Then she has to take more meds to her from having that problem. I believe in herbs. I have been reading and studying for over 30 years. The doctors I have spoken to does not recommend surgery because of her age. I asked if I could use herbs. The doctors reply was to use anything at this point. What would you suggest.
Hello, Bleeding can come from many causes. It can happen from a urinary tract infection, a kidney stone or bladder cancer. It would be a good idea to consult a doctor that is familiar with herbs to avoid serious herb drug interactions. Also it may be helpful to talk to her doctor about getting her off some of the medications. Regards
