What Causes Blood And Pain During Urination?

I have rbc of 20-30, blood +1, white count normal..am overseas, pee 3 times a day(normal for me), but worried that I might have uti..had blood in my urine 4 mths.ago too with alot of pain..had a keflex antibiotic handy, so I took that, w/o seeing a Dr., (no $ for tests..) how long does uti last, and I thought I flushed well then..but now, in Thailand, and going to even hotter, Cambodia..hesitant to get Ultrasound, as sometimes they don t show stones..which I think I had in past, (10 yrs ago), do not want uti to turn to kidneys, no flank pain...just some feelings of dryness/evacuated bladder...I am normal weight, 62 yr. female

Hello,

The cause of blood and pain during urination is underlying urinary tract infection from possible lack of oral intake, excess perspiration in heat or altered urine pH from various issues. In addition to antibiotic according to the clinical severity, plenty of liquids, cranberry sachet, and urinary alkaliser helps the better outcome.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
