What Causes Bleeding After Urination?

I have notice a few drops of blood after urinating. It s slightly uncomfortable at the end of urination. I had prostate cancer in 2012, they removed the prostate that same year. One thing I noticed is I usually since the surgery have leakage- two pads a day. The last few days the leakage has been noticeably reduced. Also yesterday I walked eight miles. I’m a race walker and training for an event in August. I did bring a water bottle with me. I urinated several times yesterday without noticing blood. Even now when I urunate there isn’t much blood. The blood seems to be from the second voiding and has so far been contained to a few drops. Brown in colorjnad$ YYYY@YYYY

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Kindly get blood investigations serum PSA and LFT. Check whether you have body aches or back ache. If symptoms of the blood in urine persists, meet a urologist for cystoscopy and evaluation (take all your old operative and histopathology reports) and a oncologist who may suggest PSMA scan to assess if any metastases or recurrence of prostate cancer is there. These investigations are must to look at if any recurrence of the disease is there.

Hope have given some insight to the query.

Good luck.
