What Causes Abdominal Distention And Abdominal Pain?

62 old male has very swollen abdomen, no jaundice, no blood in stools or urine. cooking and food smell make him vomit,. is slightly autistic thinks going to a dr is a negative report about him. has pain in abdomen, specially lower rightside. takes no meds, does not drink or smoke. was a great care giver for his mother, siblings wanted him to move following her death, last year they sent eviction notices at Christmas time. I know a lot of this is caused by pressure, but I want to know how I might help at home,

As you have mentioned the patient is under mental pressure, the stress may be a causative factor for acid peptic dyspepsia causing abdominal distension, abdominal pain and loss of appetite. consultation with a gastroenterologist is required to rule out any organic cause. If ruled out consultation with a psychiatrist is required.
