I am now experiencing sharp stabbing constant pain in my left eye. It hurts to blink, to be in light or darkness, etc - do I need to be seen? Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Get your eye examined by an eye specialist. Compartmentalization is to be done and to be measured. And also fundus examination is to be done to exclude stye.

If it is still there, then epilation is to be done with the hair route and, then the infected pus will come out.

Hot fermentation is to be done and apply Neosporin eye ointment in the lid margin.

An ENT doctor can examine the nose to exclude retrograde infection, and Nasivion nasal drop can be applied. Take the systemic antibiotic with an analgesic like tablet Combiflam now the condition can be monitored.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ashok Kumar Dash
