What Causes A Pulsating Feeling Near The Neck?

On the side of my neck, the very side, so not where I would take a pulse, I can feel the blood pump, without touching it of course, just feel it on my neck, and it's been going on for several days. It's very annoying, and every now and then, I can feel the pulse in my chin as well. It is only on the left side.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi. You should see a Doctor and let him examine you. He will know whether there is anything and he might order an Ultrasound or a Doppler test of your neck to see if there is abnormal swelling or aneurysm of any artery in that area. Even so you dont need to worry its highly common to have such aneurysms in that area. You can contact us after the visit to know whether any treatment is required or not. Take care.
