I am a 59 year-old female, in good health including weight. I have a protruding vertical vein which runs down forehead on outside of corner of eyebrow and has gotten more pronounced over the last year. I used to only be able to see it when I was upset or crying. Now, it is visible...ALL the time. There is a blue crack (like my skull is broken!) at hairline which extends down, meeting vein. It looks awful and I hate it. I ve read that it is possible these can be reduced or removed. The vein extends down from eyebrow into corner of eye and just outside of nose. Is it dangerous to have something like this removed? Is it an expensive procedure? Do I need PCP to refer me to dermatologist? I hope you can help me know what to do!
