What Causes 13-year-old To Have No Urge To Urinate?

My daughter is 13 years old. She doesn t realise when her bladder is full (ie has no urge to go), which means she has had a mild leak when she does go. This has been an issue for several years, but because the leakage is so light we have tended to live with it. There is no difference at night, just a light leak when she gets up in the morning. Is this something that can be treated? If so, what are the treatments? Many thanks.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

You should see a paediatrician who specialises in urology. It is difficult to say what it is, but it is almost certainly manageable.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Anders Mark Christensen, General Surgeon
