hi i have been told i have graves disease about 6 weeks ago now i have been on thyrod medacation but that hasnt worked, i am also on heart medacation due to having a high heart rate but now my heart rate has gone down to 84 my left arm and foot feel numb and really cold what does this mean
You are having graves disease which result in hyperthyroid ....
You are taking drug for that may be it is propylthiouracil. If needed dose increased ....
Here heart rate high ...So after examination if needed propranolol given for that .....
Let me know you medication not working than surgical approach needed ... For that antithyroid drugs stopped for two week .....before operation ....And replacement with potassium iodide that will help in reducing vasculatity and size of gland ...
