What Can Cause Weakness And Recurrent Fainting?

son, age 47, passed out twice for 35-40 minutes. Last episode 10 days ago until tonight. He became weak and stared talking jibberish. Has been in the emergency room twice and hospital once. Every test came back normal. His blood pressure was high at least for one eposide. What can be causing this problem?

Hello,

Weakness and recurrent fainting maybe due to synchope due to cardia causes like arrythmia or vasovagal synchope or posterior circulation stroke etc. Also may be due to seizure disorder call atonic seizures followed by post ictal confusion. He may need to avoid high risk activities, one of you accompany with him. Please get it done CT brain , x-ray chest, EEG, ECG and serum electrolytes then please consult your cardiologist he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
