What Can Cause A Sudden Bruise On Eyelid?

My eye was OK, no problem, then all of the sudden it started itching and running, and felt like it had an eyelash in it. I went to the bathroom to look at it in the mirror after a few hours and it was bruised. The bruise is spreading over the eyelid, and it still feels like something is in it. What could this be?

It can be a eye lash or forgeinbody. It is not possible on your part to detect after looking at a mirror. get it examined by eye doctor ,he can examine and if detected can be removed with subsequent treatment.
