What Are The Symptoms Of Appendicitis?

e... I had an appendiceal polyp partially removed 1.5 weeks ago. I have had a lot of really bad pain mostly in my lower right back. A little nausea but no fever. I have an appointment with a surgeon on Monday. Do I have appendicitis? Can I wait until Monday?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Appendicitis will present with severe abdominal pain confined right lower side of your abdomen along with fever. You can do an ultrasound scan to confirm the diagnosis. Once the diagnosis confirmed it is better to go for appendicectomy( surgical removal of appendix). Laparoscopic procedure preferred over open method.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
