What Are The Risks Of A Burst Blood Vessel Surgery?

Hello: A very close friend of mine had a blood vessel burst approximately 2 hours ago and is currently in surgery. I would like to know approximately how long the surgery may take, and the possible and/ or most likely outcomes after surgery, and the depth of possible risk (if zny) involved during the procedure? Thank you for your time in answering.
Sincerely, Craig.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per my clinical experience, surgery time depends upon the extent of the injury, the expertise of the surgeon with the setup capability to handle such cases. Possible risks are procedure related to a failure, post-op hematoma, infection or else; systemic issues related to anesthesia or others. Outcomes are excellent in expert hands.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
