Last Wednesday I picked my 6 year old daughter up from her afterschool program and she showed me a hard lump on the lateral side of her right wrist, she didn t have the lump that morning, and she said she noticed during class, the lump doesn t bother her mostly, but is bothersome/painful when she bumps it, or it s touched. My sister is a pediatric LPN and she looked at the lump Saturday night, and she said it looked as though it could be a cyst, and should be looked at, but could wait unitl Monday. Then yesterday morning when she woke up, she had another lump, and it is on the lateral side of her left wrist, the lump on the right wrist was still there as well. I took her to the urgent care, the doc said to give her motrin, he wanted an xray, and if nothing shows up on the xray, and the lump are still there in 4 days then we d have to go to the next phase of testing, but their xray machine was broken, won t be up and running until tomorrow, and he said he isn t too concerned and it could wait until Tuesday. Well, the lump on the right wrist has already been there for 4 days, and I am just trying to get some idea of what might be going on, or causing these lumps. Also, she has not fallen, or anything like that, so injury isn t a factor, if anyone has any clue, please let me know. Kim
