What Are The Causes Of Having Blood In Urine?

I woke up like normal and went to the bathroom to pee, nothing unusual, but when i wiped I noticed some blood. my period is not due for around 14 days and it was really light, i wiped a few more times and then there was nothing. I am married, we make love regularly without any type of protection and i have been taking Vitex, but I also think i have POS. Any idea you can give me on whats going on?

Hello
Blood in urine is known as hematuria and may be due to following reasons.
1 Stone or calculus anywhere in urinary tract system. Diagnosis can be confirmed by ultrasound of urinary system.
2 GLOMERULONEPHRITIS is the another most important reason of blood in urine so get in ultrasound of both kidneys with urine culture and sensitivity tests .
3 Bleeding disorder may be one more such reason so get in blood examination for bleeding time and clotting time.
However there are so many other reasons such as tuberculosis and carcinoma of kidneys .
Vitex and pos ( poly cystic ovarian disease ) is nothing to do with hematuria .
Hematuria is a cause of concern so consult a physician and get his opinion.
Good luck.
