What Are The After Effects Of Yeast Infection?

I think I had a yeast infection so I treated that and when it was done, I still noticed discharge and moisture in my underwear. My rectum and the surrounding area are constantly burning and I have a bit of blood and orange/yellow mucus coming out of it. It s smelly and troublesome. Can you please tell me what this is?

Infectious Diseases Specialist 's  Response
Hello.. Welcome to HCM.

I am Dr Jigar(Infectious disease specialist).

You need to see your gymec doctor as soon as possible.

Your symptoms are not that of simple vaginitis which you thought you can treat. These are suggestive of pelvic inflammatory disease. It means infection spreaded in pelvic organs.

In my advice you should visit to gynec doctor for this. Also culture from your discharge will be helpful to know exactly type of infection and treatment can be done accordingly. Sonography can be done according to advice of your doctor.

I hope this will help you. Wish you a good health.

Regards.
