What Are Causing Night Terrors In A Woman Of 75 Years Old?
I am a 75 year old woman that have night terrors. Last night I had this dream that I was chasing bad people out of my house and I fell out of bed before I woke up. I hit my head and hurt my tail bone. I have no stress or other problems. This have been going on for 6 months. Sylvia Merrill
A number of medications are known to contribute to nightmare frequency. Drugs that act on chemicals in the brain, such as antidepressants and narcotics, are often associated with nightmares. Non-psychological medications, including some blood pressure medications, can also cause nightmares in adults.Withdrawal from medications and substances, including alcohol and tranquilizers, may trigger nightmares.use of benzodiazepines or some antidepressants may help reduce sleep terrors.
