Urge for frequent urination, no pain or burning sensation, bad chills. What could be the problem?

My husband was c/o feeling the frequent urge to urinate with feeling like the urine was hot. He said no burning or pain. Now we were sleeping and all of a sudden he started with bad chills. Teeth chattering also. What could be going on. I work in a pulmonary office and I am not sure what could be the problem. He felt cool to the touch and a little clammy
