Suggestion Of Treatment For Severe Head Ached Due To A Hit
i tripped and i hit my head on the corner of my solid built in drawer that was not closed shut around 12:15am today. i immediately put ice and stayed awake for a couple of hours. I was nauseous afterward. The time now is 5:35pm and my head still is in a lot of pain. (i m at work) as soon as i get home do i continue to put a cold pack or do i put a warm pack on my head? the hit was on slight angle right side just above my forehead, pain is traveling to my right eye side temple area. I took ibutab but it didn t work. any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

It is normal to have headache after a head concussion. It can last for several days after the trauma. It is caused by contractions of the scalp muscles.
I would recommend to have some rest and avoid a second head trauma.
For the pain I would recommend to take Indomethacine or any other painkillers.
If you don't improve, or even get worse, feeling confused or numbness of your limbs I would recommend to go to the ER to have a brain CT scan to exclude a possible intracranial hemorrhage.
