Suggest Way To Get Ganglion Cyst Out Of Wrist

I have a ganglion cyst on my wrist. The doctor said I need surgery to remove it. The problem is that in about a week i'm leaving out of state for an internship that I've been preparing for for the last 5 months. Is there any other way to get rid of the cyst before then?
