Suggest Treatment To Remove Pus While Recovering From Conjunctivitis

I have conjunctivitis or swelling of lower right eyelid for more than 30 days now. To possibly cure it, I applied Ketoconozole anti-fungal cream which eventually reduced the redness, swelling and pain but failed to totally remove it. A little pus still remains also. What must I do with it?

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hi !
self medication should be done in such condition.I will sincerely advise to immediately consult your local ophthalmologist.
In the mean time you can clean your eyes in the following way:
Take some cotton swab and boil it in water for one hour.Let it remain covered and cool.Wash your hands with soap neatly and then use these swabs after squeezing for cleaning the eyes.
after cleaning put some antibiotic eye drops (e.g. Moxifloxacin eye drops 4-5 times a day) for 4-5 days.
all the best
