Hi had an eye stye 3 weeks back, last week it brst out and some pus came out, but the sweling dint reduce much, today i dont feel any pain or irritation but the swelling is still there. It's pretty embaricing to go anywhere or meet anyone with this eye, can you please tell my any way by which i could remove this swelling (mostly without a surgery)
It is most likely to have formed a chalazion( chronic inflammation of the meibomian gland). You can try giving warm compresses( or dry heat), for 10 minutes thrice a day for 1-2 weeks. If it shows no signs of reducing at all then do consult an ophthalmologist for a closer look. Small chalazion can be treated with intralesional injection of steroid( triamcinolone) whereas a larger chalazion would need surgery.
