Suggest Treatment For Swollen And Painful Head

I fell last night and hit my head. I hit on my left side. It is swollen to the left side above my eyebrow and into my hairline. The only symptoms I have head is swelling and a slight headache. I have been icing all day but as soon as I stop swelling comes back. The headache is better tonight. Should I see a doctor?

Neurologist 's  Response
Hi,

As you have swollen left side head up to your hairline, some structural damage in the head should be ruled out. I would like to know if you had loss of consciousness after the injury? Are you having vomiting or dizziness? Was there a nasal or ear bleeding after the injury? If any of these is yes, its better to get a head imaging (CT scan). I would suggest that its better if you see a neurosurgeon in person.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ajay Panwar,
