Suggest Treatment For Swollen And Painful Foot Vein

I have severe pain on the top of my left foot, bulging veins. The pain goes up the outside of my leg. This happens at night once every 2-3 months. Not a leg cramp--worse. I m 70, not overweight, a vegan. What can be causing this pain? I take no medication.

Pain in question is not due to bulging veins in the dorsum of foot.In your case pain starts from the outer side of foot and radiates upwards to the side of leg. This is neuro muscular pain. You must consult your doctor.
